Don is an ordained pastor with a Masters degree in Religious Education from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and is a certified biblical counselor with Association of Certified Biblical Counselors, and has been counseling for fifteen years with some 9,000 hours of counseling time. He has additional training in Marriage and Family Therapy, and is a member of International Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.
His primary focus is on issues related to marriage and family including poor communication, anger, despair, and depressive behaviors. He also counsels those considering divorce on either biblical or non-bibilical grounds.
Other areas of counsels include how to effectively communicate with children when parents are having marital problems and may be considering divorce. Nonetheless, Don believes strongly in making every effort in keeping the family together.
Don also does pre-marital counseling (first time marriage), and re-marital counseling (those considering marriage again). He holds to the conviction that laying a strong foundation for marriage serves as the best way to prevent divorce in the future.
Another major counseling area for Don are men who are struggling with various forms of sexual addiction, especially as it relates to pornography.
